Are the easy load racks autoclavable ? There is a gap between the lid and the rack, are they made for tips sterilization ? how long the racks are sterile ?

• As pipette tips are made out of polypropylene they can be autoclaved. However we do not recommend this procedure as the autoclaving process might haven a negative influence on the tight dimensional tolerances of the tips. As most pipette tips are as well available in a sterile version we highly recommend to use the sterile tips. For the sterile pipette tips we guarantee a sterilisation dose of SAL 10-3 and a shelf life of five years.
