Are Greiner Bio-One polystyrene tubes autoclaveable?
Centrifuge tubes as well as other products of polystyrene are not autoclaveable. Polystyrene is resistant to temperatures between -20 °C and +60 °C. Polystyrene products will deform themselves because of the high temperature (+120 °C) during the autoclaving process.
