Which ThinCert™ cell culture inserts are suitable for migration and invasion studies?

  • In a migration assay the migratory cells migrate actively through the capillary pores of the insert membrane. The pore diameter must therefore be large enough to allow the active migration of the cells, but small enough to prevent any passive passage of the cells through the pores. The appropriate pore diameters for lymphocytes and epithelial cells are 3.0 µm and 8.0 µm, respectively.
